The LusoFusão brand is a Family-owned company, with its origins stemming from the Baptista and Fortes families of Brava, Cabo Verde, who migrated to New England as early as the 19th century. Founder and Owner Johnnie Lowell jr. traces his maternal line through his mother Eugenia Fortes, to the historic provinces of Portugal’s Douro e Minho and Estremadura, todays Viana do Castelo, Porto, and Santarem.
